There are different types of treatments within the color collection. Two of the options are: film-forming paint systems and a semi-transparent paint system. The choice largely depends on the type of wood and your wishes. Various colors are available. This treatment can be carried out mechanically or manually and requires some finishing work during installation. In short, film-forming products create a film. By applying a film, the product remains on the surface as an extra layer. If it does not form a film, it is absorbed by the wood and thus protects the wood from the inside.<\/p>\n<h3>Film-forming paint<\/h3>\n<p>Film-forming products are products that form a new layer on the wood and therefore protect the wood against external influences. This applies to paints and varnishes. These products are ideal for protection. The big advantage is that these products also offer an extra layer of UV protection. This makes it more resistant to scorching sunlight. The protection is generally stronger than that of non-film-forming products. These products are especially suitable for harder types of wood. Varnish and paint are more susceptible to cracking on soft wood. If it is necessary to apply a new layer of paint over time, the old layer of paint must be sanded first. This will cause a slight color change over time.<\/p>\n<h3>Non-film forming<\/h3>\n<p>Because the product does not form a film, it penetrates deep into the wood and protects your wood from the inside. Non-film-forming products are (most types) dyes and horticultural oils. These products are very easy to apply. The big advantage of non-film-forming products is that in many cases they improve the appearance of the wood. The wood grain remains clearly visible and the wood does not lose its character. There are clear and colored variations. The protection of these products is slightly less than that of film-forming products. For example, it protects to a lesser extent against UV radiation. If you want to better preserve the natural color and warm appearance of wood, you can do so with an AC Stain. With AC Stain, the wood retains its original warm color for longer. This matte stain contains, among other things, a UV blocker and offers protection against UV radiation, dirt and moisture. After installation it still needs to be updated and has a maintenance interval of approximately 4 to 5 years*. This coating is known as the AC Stain. This treatment can be used on all types of wood, but this paint appears differently on each type of wood. Burning it in the oven creates a carbon layer that accentuates the texture of the wood. This process is non-toxic and environmentally friendly. With the addition of a natural oil, varnish or resin, the finish is stabilized without staining.<\/p>\n<p>Accoya\u00ae wood, with its durable and stable properties, is ideal for black facade cladding and can be placed in durability class 1.
